Michael probably wanted to change it up. I hate that too.

well that was very ~Prince-esque of him.

all I wanted to do today was listen to "Black Sweat" and since he's banned himself from YT, I tried Dailymotion and that site is so ugh.

I searched for some of his videos on YouTube about a week ago, they're there, but there's no music on any of them, and if someone uploaded them, they would risk being sued. I love Prince's music, but the dude himself is a bitch.
And i've heard rumors that Prince forced WB Records to do the same things with some of his 80's albums just like what they did with Bad, thus explaining the reference.
I really hate it when people do those types of things. Is there really any point?

well, you probably could find the original on eBay or Amazon somewhere for about 10 bucks.

hopefully.

I'm pretty sure the Bad album I have/had (can't find it) was released after 2001. that's annoying.

I'm sure they have copies of the original on eBay. Thanks for the thought though. :)

It's definitely different. My Bad cd was stolen on my birthday like a year and a half ago and I got the rerelease which I compared to my "Bad" vinyl and it's definitely different. I prefer the original.

*my "Bad" vinyl is an 1987 original and really the only Bad album I listen to. I ripped the vinyl onto my computer instead of the rereleased CD :S

DUDEEEEE, CAN YOU UPLOAD IT? I was planning on doing the same, but I lost my USB cords, lol. (I also have the original vinyl.)

LOL, NEVERMIND. I just remembered I have a What.CD account, and I can find the original edition there.

I bought that just this weekend and I want the original... :/ Why do they have to tamper with stuff they don't need to? I wasn't around in the 80's to even have a chance to have the originals.

I couldn't agree more, I will never understand why people feel the need to slightly remix or edit music that's more than 10 years old. Especially when it comes to stuff that's almost perfection like Michael Jackson(like Thriller 25 for example).

The only remix I liked on Thriller 25 was Kanye's mix of Billie Jean. I'm also pretty much in love with the dude, so my opinion is pretty biased.

I only heard about 3 of them, they were quite atrocious. I didn't even give the rest a chance.
