I love this album sfm!!!! It's perfect (well except for speed demon, but the video makes up for it). Some of the hottest songs came out of the album: DIRTY DIANA and The Way You Make Me Feel for example. I'm still bitter that Rolling Stone and the Grammys hated this album but whatever haters gonna hate.

i really hate how the grammys seemed to snub him. i mean, okay--two grammys are great, but i totally believe he deserved more than that. and rolling stone has been known for its ability to fail from time to time, so.

Also the media considers EVERYTHING Michael did after Thriller a flop. I don't understand why since Michael pushed out a lot of records, and it's pretty much impossible to sell 34956030t million fucking records to begin with. SO HATERS TO THE LEFT. HERE'S ANOTHER GIF OF HIM BEING SEXY.

this is true! i think they just got so used to selling 100mil, and it's like, hello. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL IT A RECORD.

i agree...when i first read up on the albums on wiki and saw the less-than-great reviews on every album after thriller [i was most puzzled by the reviews for blood on the dancefloor. every one of those five new songs are mind-blowing.] and i was really confused. haters to the left.

Always listen to an album at lest three times before you make up your mind.

Also, different songs will speak to you at different times. Years later you can listen to something and hear something you never heard before. Patience, child.

i'll assume you're referring to my remarks about some of the filler songs. i've listened to this album plenty of times, but the commentary made was a mix of me listening in the moment and my thoughts from previous listens.

and you may be right--i may come to like slow songs or duets later in life. i'm young, my ears have more listening to do. but these are thoughts i have about them now, and i'm calling it how i'm hearing it.

that first sentence, i agree with it 150%. a lot can change within three listens. some of my favourite albums are ones i hated the firt time i listened.

Seriously everything you said was perfect and sums up the album and all that goes with it perfectly. Not to mention (but I will) that its my favorite era; down to the songs, his whole look (clothing, attitude, hair, 524165 belts), and the tour, OMG THE TOUR. I don't know why people consider this album a flop; sure it never sold as much as Thriller but it's great!

OH SHIT THAT TOUR. I HAVE NEVER WANTED TO BE ALIVE SO BADLY IN MY LIFE.

re: flop--that's what i'm saying! this is in on way a flop. it's not thriller, but it was never meant to be. it's too good.
