Could someone please tell me what the big issue is with being different? Because I seem to have a pair of roommates who think I'm alienating their space with how weird I am. I honestly don't get why it's such a problem. Who fucking cares if I don't act anything like you? I'd think that'd be a good thing. I guess not, though. Originality isn't ( Read more... )

roommates, being different is interesting

Personally, I like diversity. Lemmings are cute when you see them one and one, sure, but too many together and they're just a blurry, fuzzy snake and that's not cute at all... (; ̄д ̄)

Also, I don't think we've met. I'm Irie Kanata. Hi hi~ (・◇・)

At least someone gets where I'm coming from...
Heh~ Fuzzy snake~ *imagines Scales in a large fluffy coat* You also have to worry about following your other lemming friends and jumping off that nearby cliff to your death if you're part of a colony of lemmings.

Haisai. Chinen Hiroshi. ...And we probably haven't met because I tend to avoid most people, since a lot of them enjoy acting like my prejudice roommates.

[OOC: Strike deleted. He's talking about Kaidoh. XD; ...And that just reminded me I still haven't posted a log for those two. Time to do that. >>;]

Well, I do try being an understanding little bugger... (〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ When it comes to meeting interesting people, I believe that quantity is the same as quality, because you can never have too many friends... You just can't be afraid of the differences between you and view them as a hindrance.

Well, we should probably do something about that then, nee~? (゜▽゜;)

[ooc: Aww! XD Post those logs, Doom! POST THEM! - Or it. DETAILS]

I'd take quality over quantity anyday. I don't care about having tons of friends, just decent ones. While I tend to befriend others who are like me, largely because they understand me and I can relate to them, I'm also friends with those who I don't have much in common with. It doesn't matter at all if they're completely different from me, I'll call come to call them a friend if they're decent individuals. ...Though it may take a while longer to get to that point if they are that different from me, especially if they're the overeager type (bubbliness and hyper behavior tends to annoy me), so it helps to have some patience in that case. It worked for my best friend, though, and he's my complete opposite.

Maybe. You're not obnoxiously happy and eager, though, are you?

[OOC: Yes ma'am. Just did so. >>;]

The more I see from you, the more I find myself just not caring about the room situation anymore. Be glad, I spent most of last year trying to get rid of my roommate.

I am starting to think the three of us should sit down and come up with some kind of written agreement so that we're all on the same page.

Good. Then there will only be one to worry about frowning at me for no reason.

A written agreement for what?

If I ever get fed up, it's far more likely I'd just work on trying to get someone to switch me rooms. I might get luckier with that this year if I need to.

A written agreement on what the rules are. Things like when we want lights out, what to do when friends come over, what's allowed in the room, stuff like that.

Oh good. So you're keeping my advice in mind after all even if you said it likely won't happen. Good on you for staying positive about things.

Works for me. Though the tarantula's not leaving the room if either of you are considering trying to put that on the list of things not allowed.

The apple didn't fall very far, did it

There are all sorts of fellas in the world HiroshiChinen-kun. Just remember, if you get into a lather, there are places and people who will help you work through it.

I'm aware of that. Not so sure other people are, though. ...But thanks, I guess. I'll keep it in mind.

[OOC: He *can* call him Hiroshi if he wants (I figure he probably already has slipped up with it a few times while talking to him in class). He'll most likely raise an eyebrow at his referring to him so familiarly, but he's not going to care enough to say anything about it, plus he'd figure it's because he's American. Plus next time Chinen calls home (which'll likely be tonight), he's more than likely going to find out about Tsuge's connection to his grandfather. Chinen will start bitching about the pain in the ass musclebound American teacher to his grandfather, and Tanjirou will slip up himself at some point by calling him by his given name out of habit, leading to Chinen asking how the hell he knows his name and what the world is going on. Tanjirou will then be forced to explain a few things about Tsuge. Though I think he'd call Tsuge right after that to forewarn him that he screwed up and he apologizes if his grandson starts ( ... )

Other people can't tell you who you can be. Only you can.

[ooc: He will. He won't mean it, but he will. And if all else fails, there is always the picture from the late 50s early 60s. And Tsuge says no favoritism. >< ]

Silly, being different is what we are all about here! We're all different! (Okay, Ryou and I aren't as different from one another...but you know what I mean, right?)

If we were all the same...well, we wouldn't be here and things like dormitories sliding into lakes likely wouldn't happen either! ^_^

Oo, you are rooming with Takkun and Yagyuu-kun? Lucky! You should check out Takkun's fingernail polish collection! It's a~mazing! Yagyuu-kun is interesting too...boyfriend-kun gets along well with him, but doesn't like me hanging too close. ^_^ It's cute!

Tell that to the idiots I'm rooming with. (*Nothing* about you is different? Well that's boring.)

I suppose. In fact, being called a freak and forced to leave home because of it along with seeing destroyed pieces of campus are really fun now that I think about it.

No. I'm not. Or have you not seen me bemoaning the fact they don't enjoy me being there? And I don't fucking care about the whiny princess's nail polish collection.

They should already know...how odd. I wonder what is up? ...you didn't spray blood on the wall or light up a cigarette, did you? (Actually it's quite nice. We're really close.)

Someone called you a freak? That's so not okay. (ooc: Atsushi is growling a bit as he is typing, just so you know.) As for the destroyed bits here...you get used to it. It's just part of being the unique beings we are! ^_^

Oh, please, Takkun isn't a whiny princess! We have students here who FAR outstrip him in that area! ^_^ And I hadn't, because I don't want to be one of those annoying stalkers you don't like. ^_^

Have no clue. And no, I haven't. (Twins normally are really close by nature. Doesn't mean they don't have their own things that make them unique. If not...well, I'll just assume one of you is a duplicated copy of the other and call you by one name since you have nothing to make you stand out from each other or make me treat you differently.)

I've been called a freak since I was little because of my roots. Nothing new. Just got called it even more once my former bullies spread word that I was a mutant. And I'd hardly consider a destroyed building a positive thing to happily consider unique.

He is as far as I'm concerned. ...And I'm going to assume you're just an idiot who ignores things they don't want to see then, because my entire post was about it.
