I KNOW!! This is just... OMFG! D: (But I'm pretty happy about myself that I got PISSED and not thought that HEY, I want to try that "diet" or Ooooh I'm so much fatter than Jennifer. So, plus side is that I see progress in myself. :P)
That wedding diet is horrible. What really disturbs me about that and all diets that don't involve food (so all the ones where you drink milkshakes and stuff) is that it disrupts our relationship with food. I think it's so important to know how to grow food, where to procure food, how to prepare and cook food, to know when food is "off" and not. I find that when you don't have that understanding of food it's hard to have a healthy relationship with food which is to eat what your body needs, when your body needs it - not eating more, not eating less. Diets like that scare me!
Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful and this whole thing is horrid. Have you read the stuff about Rue, and how some fans were "disappointed" when they foudn out they cast a black girl to play her? So fucking frustrating and disappointed.
I'm also pretty disturbed by non-food diets. That kinda reminds me of my favorite recovery quote: "Food is an important part of a balanced diet." I think I still have that quote on my fridge door. :D
I read those Rue comments. Those were insane! Though I was actually pretty suprised that Rue was played by an african american, because I always pictured her looking more like a latina. But what I've seen from the trailer and the posters she seems to suit the part. (I haven't yet seen the movie. ;_________;)
