Isn't it just amazing to feel content with what you're doing? I've been feeling like that for some time with my german lessons and I think it's wonderful.

I also understand what you mean about children - I don't find them the best tjing in the world like some people do (thry are so so scary, those people), but from far away some are quite nice :)

Yes. I love it and feel very priviledged for being able to do something I enjoy. It's too bad not everyone can. And great that you like your German lessons. Mine were always very boring, though I liked the language.

Hardly anyone of my age that I know likes children and I really wouldn't say I do either, but I don't absolutely hate every single young person. Like you, I don't feel very comfortable with people who just LOVE children. I don't think I liked them when I was a child, either. They wouldn't always treat children as individuals which I hated.

Yes, and I've realised I'm pretty good at it. I mean I may not have learnt everything by now (and you just can't learn everything when it comes to the languages), but I think learning comes easy to me. The same in economics - I'm very good when I make an effort, so I think inspiration's very important. And yes, Goethe Institute that I attend offer very entertaining approach and very skilled teachers. I love it there :)

I agree. they treat them like some sort of walking dolls, which is very wrong I think if you want to raise children properly.

I love you for saying that! I seriously do. I always think it's pretty arrogant you've learned a language (complitely). And yay for inspiring teachers and teaching methods! They mean the world and I have enormous respect for good teachers.

Yes, that's it, exactly. My parents always treated me as a person with individual characteristics and opinions so it was puzzling to meet adults who just thought I was cute and would prefer me to keep my mouth shut about anything important. I wouldn't wish that to any child.

OK, I told Katya and she added you :)

Whee, thanks stuff :) And thanks for the compliment for my entry! BTW, which one of us was going to write/swap first? We never got to that really, right? I've been so terribly busy that I haven't replied to letters that are 6 months old, so I don't think I can send you anything very soon but I'd still love to start writing and/or swapping with you.

No, tuskin tuo nyt mikään arvoasema on :) Aika vähäistä tuo swappailu on tässäkin suunnassa nykyään.
