Crazy stacking bookcases

Since my regular bookcases often end up with books stacked this way anyway these bookcases are kinda cool.

So wait, you just put your books into wooden sleeves? What's the difference between that and just tossing your books any which way? I don't get it.

I think it keeps the books from getting totally destroyed. Still crazy lopsided but with less cover bending.
