The weekend has been incredibly fun so far, though not terribly productive. I had a wonderful time at winter ball - I got to have many dances with many good leads, and I love just sitting and watching people in pretty dresses dancing, too. Regarding Game of Thrones -- please don't worry! The game's rules are complicated, and it's only the second time you've played (and the first time, the rules were very awkwardly explained by an inarticulate, cold-addled yours truly). It was late, and that couldn't help, either. I forget things, too(and part of why I remember what I do is that I played it some last year).

As long as you guys had a nice time, it's all good. I get overly self-critical when I'm tired ... and when I'm having difficulty balancing the desire to change things I don't like about myself and the desire to not be impossibly hard on myself. Which is most of the time. Anyway, I did have fun, and as long as you guys had fun, then the philosophical musings can be considered to be entirely separate from our gathering. And if we play again, I should really read the instructions myself. Much better visual-learner than audio-learner. And then the downfall of the Lannisters and the Starks shall be complete!!!!
