epic epic weekend

So how often do you get to say that you personally got handed backstage basses by your favorite band's manager and got to spend a whole night getting trashed and hanging out with them? Because I can now say I did. :) This weekend was amazing

*ridiculously loud fangirl squeals*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, you got to not only meet up with the musicians, but party with them! That's amazing, to me especially about Andrew Bird whom I've gotten to briefly meet after shows twice, but never actually got to hang out! Wow, that is so bad ass and epic! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! that's like mind-blowing awesome.
The closest i came is i was really into a small indie band a few years back, and first of all they found my website and contacted me to do art for them, which already was sweet. Then on their tour, while coming through my area I met them after the show. Then the drummer asked if they could stay over because they had nowhere to go and it was already 2am, the place they were staying at fell through. So the band slept in my living room after we had dinner and drank rum! And they gave me a ton of stuff.
Even weirder.. it ended up the keyboardist knew my roommate from internet chatrooms and we had no idea until then!
