Ow My Sinuses

May 29, 2012 23:13

Oh God we had this thunderstorm and the temperature dropped like 15 degrees (from the low 90s to 79 when I was driving home) and my skull is full of snot and I cannot stop sneezing and I'm breathing through my mouth and it's all so fucking horrible and the worst thing is I cannot call in tomorrow. Well I can but just because we can do something ( Read more... )

I've had that for the past week (due to the sniffles, not allergies). It's really annoying when you can't breathe, and I couldn't taste any of the things I ate, which is a real letdown. Mine seems to be clearing up now, though, so that's good. Where all that snot came from I shall never know.

I am very grateful to nosesprays, though! They clear out the pathways wonderfully. Being able to breathe is a luxury that one doesn't always fully appreciate.

I hate that WITH ENTHUSIASM! Thank God the weather has cooled off a little (it's really nice outside) and I'm not dying anymore. I was very thankful when I woke up the morning after this was posted and could breathe through my nose!

My only issue with nasal sprays is that when I'm drippy like this, the LAST thing I want to do is stick something in my nose.

And then on top of that, Ollie went and got himself fleas. It never ends!

I hate when I'm sick but know I have too many responsibilities to call off...

Sorry you don't feel well.

I feel you on the calling off work thing. I'm so completely miserable with this rash right now, I wish I could call off work today but there's no way. I'm brand new still so I'd probably get fired.

Thanks - doing better now :) I'm trying to bank my sick time for if I actually have a long doctor's appointment (too long to make up) and/or I actually get sick. If I'd been contagious, I'd have called in.

How's your rash doing now?

It seems like parts of it are not itching anymore, just the newer sections where it's spread to lower on my neck/upper chest area. But my skin is still all discolored where it's been and my glands that were swollen are not as swollen but now they're kind of sore. So...yeah. It feels like it's getting a little better. At least it doesn't feel any worse, so that's good.

I wanted to call in yesterday and today (tomorrow and Friday are also possibilities of me wanting to call in). I feel ya. I hope the sinuses get relief soon. Miss you.

There are entire weeks from time to time when I wish I could call in; there's not much point right now as my scheduled vacation is the week after next. YESSSSS. (I have no plans other than a little daytripping and a lot of reading.) Most of the time, I like my job, but sometimes I could use a little respite.

I can breathe through my nose again! VICTORYYYYY~
