Today: It Was Pretty Good

This morning, I rolled out of bed, went to go get my every-other-weekly pedicure (because my feet get nasty without much provocation and I'd rather pay someone for them than do it myself), and found that it was much colder in the house than outside. My toenails are relatively subtle this time, if one can consider fluorescent pink to ever be subtle

I didn't get my ears pierced till I was in my late twenties, and my body DID NOT LIKE IT. It rebelled and formed these huge nodules of scar tissue and I had to take them out and leave them alone.

Well, that sounds perfectly horrific. One of my other friends had a similar horror story, involving a teenybopper mall store and earrings to which she had a reaction that, in her words, "caused [her] ears to swell up like Buddha".

I'm a fast healer, in general; I think my body just kind of passively accepts that I'm going to do whatever I want to it. If it's going to be defective in some rather important regards, then I'm going to make it look the way I want regardless of its desires.
