First off, fuck the dentist. Every time I or you or anybody else goes in there, it's like their personal party of Things To Charge You For. I understand they have to do things like x-rays to check and see what work might seriously need to get done, but does going to the dentist have to be so financially and emotionally destructive?!

I've never had kale but cabbage...ohhh, cabbage, how I love it. I love it in cabbage rolls and I love it in slaw. I love to liberate it from my grandparents' garden and put it in tacos.

Oh, the dentist isn't the problem (I checked my claims on the insurance company's website, and they've already paid him for me); it's the oral surgeon. I get that he needs to eat, too, and if I had a more serious problem I would probably be very thankful for his expertise, but seriously, he is YANKING. A COUPLE. OF TEETH. That are not impacted. The only thing that complicates this is the rotting-out parts.

You might like kale! We like to eat it raw in salads (one of our favorites has strawberries and hard-boiled eggs and balsamic vinegar), and we also use it to make pesto; I do not think it is as good cooked. (I don't think a lot of vegetables are as good cooked, though, so make of this what you will.) Also, I am a Slav and cabbage is some damn good eating, if gastastic.
