Fuck. Excel. I am currently taking a course on it and I hate it with a fiery rage, almost as much as I despise Access. Please God let no one I love ever have to use Access in Real Life™.

And please, please, please let Title Lord hire you! More than fucking Excel, I say fuck Lol-Mart. You deserve better employment and always have. I'm over here thinking "hire L33 hire L33 hire L33" for you. There's employment to simply exist and then there's more gainful employment, after all.

Don't worry about being a bastard to me in any replies; I'll take it with a grain of salt, knowing that you had a roller coaster of a day. ^_^

I have used Excel in the workplace before, but the thing is that title people use it as a data-entry utility, not for accounting or spreadsheet purposes. Whereas most places where I've interviewed have wanted to know whether I've used Excel for those things and what my proficiency level is. As for Access, I don't think anybody ever actually uses it in real life; it seems to be included in Office for strictly ceremonial purposes. O_o ( ... )

Call me lazy, but I would rather have the ability to use the program and learn to use it for accounting on the job. If I were an employer, that's what I'd look for because you rule out too many otherwise excellent and really qualified people just because oh noes, they don't use Excel for bookkeeping ( ... )

You know, oddly, small companies are more likely than large companies to interview someone who doesn't exactly fit all their parameters. It's like large companies have missed the memo that they are, ironically, weeding out exactly the kind of people they want to hire ( ... )
