Of Birthdays And Laundry

1.) Happy birthday, syrahsmile!2.) OMG YOU GUYS HAVE YOU TRIED OXYCLEAN??? Not to be a corporate shill here or anything, but I ttly dumped two scoops of the stuff in the washer last night with laundry I dug out of my room, which was mostly Callice Ground Zero, and did not expect a whole lot. Today, my laundry is clean and dry and shows NO EVIDENCE OF CAT PEE

Dood, I had my doubts about OxyClean myself but I am now a true believer! That stuff actually works! And I get coupons in the newspaper circulars all the time, which helps offset the cost (which admittedly is on par with all other laundry products - ie stupidly outrageous).

I know! Aren't the little blue crystals AWESOME? (Isn't it sad that we're rhapsodizing about a laundry product? Our teenaged selves, if they could see this conversation years in TEH FUTURES, would probably kill themselves, or at least be severely disappointed in their exciting, glamorous adult lives. XD)

You wouldn't think what is basically liquid soap would be so fucking expensive, but it is. @_@; And Mom has skin allergies, so we can only use Wisk.

I dunno. I suspect sad but at the same time perhaps weirdly unsurprised. Maybe? If only due to the fact that a crazy tv pitchman is somehow involved?

Yeah, I have to use stuff that says 'free' for the most part. I don't understand the need for everything to SMELL like something else nowadays. I mean...laundry doesn't NEED a smell in my opinion and, if your house stinks, it's a sign you need to clean, not cover it up with glade plug-ins or anything. One exception...the bathroom. There it's more of a courtesy than anything.

Ain't no pitchman like a crazy TV pitchman! XD On the other hand, Vince (of ShamWow!) fame is a fucking liar because we use ShamWows at work to mop off the carts and things when it rains, and they DON'T dry as fast as represented and they DO smell.

The only thing laundry should smell like is its natural warm faintly electric smell when it comes out the dryer. :D As for the rest of it...yeah, I don't get the need for an artificial smell either, because a lot of those are just offensive. Except in the bathroom, though this can backfire; I once used the Sullivan County courthouse shitter after it had been sprayed down with cloying, low-budget French vanilla air freshener, with the result that the place smelled like a thick brown French vanilla fart.
