You know what is so infuriating? I just made an image map. It was a flawless, spectacular image map, if I do say so myself, and it wasn't horrendously ugly given that it was my very first image map.

Except that when I was trying to load it onto the goddamn website, I fucked up, spectacularly, and now it's fucking gone, which infuriates me. So now ( Read more... )

webstuff, things that really shit me, aaaaaaaaaaaaargh

Oh yeah, I've tried that before. Back in 6th grade or some such, I was writing a story, and had written perhaps 100-150 pages. I then set out to save it on disc. Gasp! Shock! Horror! The disc was full and started complaining, and then I took it out and told it to stop saving, and then the entire story was gone!!!11angst!1!!one!! From the disc as well as the computer. My mother, however, knew a computer expert fella and so he mucked about with the disc, I think, and part of the story was eventually saved, only now it was in a strange format with lots of weird symbols.

Interestingly enough, shortly after getting the story back, I got bored with it and never finished it. Good riddance to that, though, as it sucked rather badly.

And if you like foreign beer, try Tuborg. Actually, I don't know if it's any good as I personally don't drink, but it's Danish, and I must take every chance given to do something patriotic. Hah. Or at least help along the country's exports.

Oddly, the same thing happened to me when I was about 14. So now we'll never know what happened to Mary Sue while she was a dirt-poor, yet exotic-looking, Irish child on the streets of New York in the 1890s. (Also, her father was a lush and her mother, a French national, spoke no English and secretly came from a rich family but had run away to the United States at the age of 18 in a fit of pique. Sadly, I really thought this story had potential.)

...Thank God that story is lost forever.

Must find Tuborg sometime. Have had Carlsberg (sp.?), which I believe is also Danish (but it was many years ago). Oh well, I'm sure you'll receive some kind of decoration for your valiant efforts to boost the import/export trade. ^_-

Oh yeah, Carlsberg. Danish, too! Wow, Danes certainly go places these days. I must be so proud.
