Somewhat odd rec for you, but you might enjoy it regardless of its value as reference or such...

Terry Pratchett's newest, Nation, is about a slightly AU Earth and he explores cargo cults and Pacific Island culture in a beautiful way. It's considered a YA book but, like his other YA books, it is equally wonderful for adults.

Well, it's not like the Children of the Sea are supposed to be a Searingly Realistic portrayal of an actual society. XD But thanks for the rec! The EVPL does have a copy, so I'll have to pick it up next time I'm there. :D

Yep, I got it! :DDD When I finish the Harry Potter series again, it is on the top of my "to read" list (sadly, yes, I have to maintain one or I'd never get anywhere with my reading goals).

Thank you for sending it to me. ♥

Hooray! It's a Talyn seahorse! ♥ ♥ ♥

Sekritley: I have to maintain a similar list. Otherwise, I would sit on my fat ass in front of the Int0rbuttz.

You're welcome. ♥
