Just got done with The Princes of Ireland by Edward Rutherfurd the other day. I wasn't sure what to expect, but hey, it's Ireland, it's historical fiction, I had to read it. My snort of amusement at the declaration that once more Gwydion - or some derivation of him - is an idiot was ridiculously loud here in the vastness of the lobby. Ah, proof once more of his vast stupidity. Somehow it gladdens the heart even as it reasures the mind of the rightness of its judgement.
