It's good for you that

A) You are not in high school
3) You are not skinny nor wear your trousers somewhere around your chest (I assume)
C) There are no bullies close by

or you would be so locked up in a locker right now wearing a wedgie.

Well, hey, now, A and C were true for me up until June, and nobody ever put me in a locker for being equally geeky - or even geekier than Lee is.

I think it's all about the trousers. Without trouser!fashion sense, I reckon Lee and I would be scarred, ne?

I agree that the trouser part might rank higher on the bullies' How to Determine Which Geeks To Harass List. However, I am certain other aspects apply that prevented you from being put in a locker. I imagine a malfunction in the lockers at your school or some sort of disadvantage in regards to height and/or depth and your own height and/or depth. Or possibly the outside of all lockers had been supplied with exploding dye-packs to bring an end to this problem, and the dye-packs had been supplied with almost-state-of-the-art sensors to determine when a bully was a-bullying and thereafter explode at a convenient moment (possibly taking out the geek as well but all systems have minor flaws).

I must regret to say, however, that if Lee had in fact been a fan of this particular type of fashion in high school, she would not have been alive to tell the tale. And had we gone to the same high school, surely I would have stolen her lunch money to buy sweet, sweet othello cake. For it is ripe with marzipan and must be eaten.

Not to be Moses coming down with the tablets of the law here, but I was known to be extremely territorial about academic bullying in high school, so I was let alone. If someone had given me crap, my mocking laughter would have rung in their ears on account of these people were usually not smart enough to pronounce basic words correctly.

Also, I brown-bagged in high school, so there wouldn't have been lunch money to steal. Sorry, Cat.
