Also, I wonder how many other cases 'Fanny' as a name for a sexual creature has turned up. In England, the word 'fanny' is used as another term for woman's naughty bits, and not the buttocks, as we like to think here in the united states.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, and I wonder where it got started--if it had its genesis after the popularity of Cleland's novel, or if it had been in use in British English for some time previous. There's got to be the OED on the Web somewhere. XD
