I'm all for Jeff forcing Annie out of her comfort zone, even though this is *so* out there.

Although, honestly, I did NOT thing that's the question she was going to ask. I thought she was going to ask something along the lines of if he wanted her to come put the outfit back on or something, but not straight up "do you masturbate to me." holy moly. I don't think I could ask someone that, and I'm not nearly as sexually repressed as Annie is, lol.

Another great chapter. I'm really looking forward to the end of this :)

Yeah, I know I couldn't ask anyone that, and Annie didn't mean to, she just blurted it out without thinking. But still.

Poor Annie. Jeff keeps her at arms' length for ages and then he turns around and wants her to ask him if he's playing pocket pool to her costume. lol

Their phone conversation was great. Annie's struggle with getting the words out rang true to me. And you did a nice job of building the anticipation. I kept wondering if she might just blurt it out, even though I had a pretty good idea that she wouldn't. Very well done.

That said, I do think Annie has come a long way since the penis debacle of 2009. She's dated Vaughn since so my guess is she's probably seen one in action, and she didn't appear to be blushing when she described that sexual encounter during the Dungeons & Dragons episode. Still, she's relatively inexperienced and that's a very intimate question to ask someone, so Annie's inability to ask it worked for me.

Looking forward to the resolution. I can only imagine what Annie's going to lay into Jeff with now that she's built up a head of steam. :-)

Yep, Jeff's sudden turn around is giving Annie whiplash, I think. Poor thing.

Thanks. I've never liked fics that use texting between characters, but Jeff is a texter. It's something they definitely do a lot of, I'm sure, the entire gang. So, writing that was fun, and Annie ended up being easy to write for here.

I agree. Annie's come a long way. I go back and forth on whether she slept with Vaughn. He did sleep with Britta after just a short time together, so that's something that leans toward a 'yes'. But then again, this is Annie. I can see her sleeping with him, and not sleeping with him. Her D&D tale does lend credence to having slept with Vaughn, but then again, she does like to tell very detailed stories about things she hasn't done: Halloween story. I'm just torn on it. I go back and forth several times a day on the subject.

The last chapter is up now, so, enjoy. :)

Well, at the time, Annie hadn't seen a penis, but she still couldn't say it. And that's not even vulgar, it's a perfectly acceptable word. Then a year later she's describing a sex act in graphic detail without missing a beat. I can't see her being able to do that unless she'd become more comfortable with the idea of sex, something a sexual relationship with Vaughn would've given her. Plus, they were going to move across the country together, which indicates to me that their relationship had progressed to that level.

And Dan's reasoning for the Annie/Vaughn relationship - so the audience would be more open to Jeff/Annie - suggests that they became lovers eventually. A chaste relationship with Vaughn would've completely defeated the purpose of Annie dating him in the first place. From everything we've seen of her character development, it makes more sense to me that Annie and Vaughn slept together.

Yay for the part three! Off to read it now! :-)
