the heels i got today are pretty modest (1 1/2 inch??) , but i will be walking 10mins to the subway, meandering around the subway, and then walking a few minutes to the office every day. heels will probably slow me down and get old after awhile.

i may have to resort to flats.

or maybe wedges. ;)

I was aiming for that - and probably will still go that route, but i cannot find any pants I like. i need to hit up some petite section. my legs are too short and my hips are too wide for normal girl pants.

Try Anne Taylor Loft. Their petite pants are perfect length and fit real hips. I've gotten several work appropriate pants there. I also find Kohl's to be good for work clothes.

Also, just because it's business casual, doesn't mean you have to give up all of your fashion sense. If you stay away from blue jeans and t-shirts you are probably alright. I've seen how you dress. You'll do fine. :)

that's what my friend and i were talking about tonight (Ann Taylor/Loft). I always associated it with my Mom, which for a long time wasn't a good thing - but I'm old enough now to know that, hey - my mom's a good dresser!

once i get a paycheck or two i'll hit up both ATL and Kohl's. :)
thank you for the tips!
