Jack leaned against the truck his team was waiting with. "And why again are we here... Okay, let me rephrase that why are we risking two teams to save a snake. Not like she's Teal'c."
Daniel walked up, adjusting the straps to his vest, looking at Jack as he talked. "No but she's a good friend of mine...of us all." *gives him one of those earnest don't-be-mean-jack looks that Daniel does so well*
He glanced over toward Colonel O'Neill, frowning slightly. "With all due respect, Colonel? She's a member of our team, and we do not abandon one of our men. Ever. Besides...she has too much information to allow her to fall into these guys' hands."
He readied the G36K, and leaned against a tree, surveying the area. "Intel says we've got a little over two dozen men to deal with. Shakarri should be pretty deep in the complex."
Daniel was looking through his set of binoculars, knowing he probably wouldn't be able to spot her but trying just the same. He could see a couple of guards patroling around the outside perimeter.
"If she's that far in, they might get away with her before we even get near," he said worriedly.
"SG2's circling around. The local cops already have the roads blocked. Even if they try, they won't get far." He shook his head. Yeah he might bitch about her, but she did try to keep Daniel out of trouble, and she had found the spy that had been slipped into the base.
He nodded, and started toward the base. "Lets get our man outta there. Jackson, you and Sam are in charge of checking out the computers, and hopefully getting an idea of how bad the information leak is."
Maybe they wouldn't find anything, but it was already evident that it was bad, if Shakarri had been compromised.
