Haha! The video didn't show when I first saw your post so I didn't know what song you were talking about but I clicked it and it took me to the video. I've been listening to the originals of her songs almost obsessively. I hadn't listened to any of the remixes but I approve. I don't consider it shallow to like techno/dance music just like I don't consider it sophisticated to like only classical music ( though that might be because purely instrumental music makes me itchy, I'm partial to words ( ... )

When we were in England, someone went in a store and asked if they had any "waterproof pants." The man looked at her for a moment and said very succinctly, "You mean trousers."

We were in Scotland during the Royal Wedding, actually on a chartered bus, so we heard it over the radio. And acted it out in the aisles of the bus. And later visited the cathedral where they were married. Everyone on the island, including Scotland, got a holiday for the royal wedding though. Luckies. And I agree, it was simultaneously ridiculous and fun. Speaking of ridiculous, have you seen some of the crazy hats those royal wedding guests wore?
