Tears come then, tears that he hasn't let fall since the funeral and Sirius just crumples at the sight of Remus, the person he loves most in the fucking world, crying because of him. He moves forward, no longer caring about the invisible physical barriers that have been carefully constructed recently and cups Remus' cheek gently, not letting him pull away even though he tries to at first. That was utterly beautiful!

This was heartbreaking, but really well done. I think that part of what made it hurt so much was how powerfully real if felt. These are real emotions, real situations, and real reactions to hurt. "Thank you." Sirius says and Remus isn't sure what it even means, whether it's a thank you for looking after Harry or a thank you for not shouting at me in front of him or a thank you for letting me sleep or even if it's all three. He hopes it's all three because that at least means that Sirius understands how much self control he is exercising right now how selfless he's been for the passed ten days. I felt for both men here. This.
I'm going to quote brighty18: "This was heartbreaking, but really well done. I think that part of what made it hurt so much was how powerfully real if felt. These are real emotions, real situations, and real reactions to hurt."
Exactly.
Excellent writing.

Sirius would totally give off a scary, angry vibe when drunk! Remus being the one to take on the responsibility of Harry's care rang so true, even when he didn't ask for it. Their awkwardness after the argument was sad but felt like actual fallout over something that important, the sense of abandonment that Remus must have felt.

The ending was happy without being sappy or sentimental which I was glad for as you created such an atmosphere that the ending fit perfectly.

This was lovely! It was very sad, and my heart broke for them, but so nice to see them working it out together. I thought them coming together for Harry's sake captured the feeling of the picture very well. Lovely work.
