Oh, this was wonderful. Yes, a bit creepy (in a good way, mind you), at times, but still wonderful. I love how it had a very upper-crust British feel to it, yet beneath the brilliant wit and banter lurked some very true, raw feelings. The way they dealt with Peter-the-rat was an excellent example of that. Chilling. Very chilling. But also very right and compelling.

When I first read the header and say the art, I have to admit I was flummoxed. The lush, rich reds and golds seemed a bit out of place for the time period. But you worked it so wonderfully, my dear. It all made perfect sense, really. ****applauds****

The Shakespeare quotes and bits of humor were truly brilliant. This bit made me snort my coffee a little. "Well, that's you, Moony, innit? Could charm the plaid knickers off McGonagall herself if need be."

A vaguely horrified expression settled over Remus' features. Oddly, there was something comforting about it, too - about this whole piece in fact. Somehow, despite it all (and even despite the fact that they were about ( ... )

Creepy! ahahaha Even reading the warning, I didn't expect that ending. Still, I love your writing, perhaps most of all because you create the unexpected, and you do it so well.

I'm sorry! I don't know where this came from. I think maybe because it was around Halloween and I had creepy on the brain. But, thank you! :)

Now I see what you meant by "dubious decision making". :P

This was really interesting to read. I love the slight mental instability from both of them; after having lost so much, I definitely understand that they would be a bit crazy. That scene with James and Lily's bodies was really- chilling.

Haha, yeah, the boys are just a tad messed up here, but still lovable! ;) Thanks for reading it despite the dubious things go on!

I loved this art, and I love your interpretation of it. Everything is so evocative, not just of the setting, which you bring to life in a way that goes beyond simply describing the details from the picture, but also of the sense of need and longing Remus and Sirius feel for each other, and the sense of loss they feel over losing Lily and James. I love the light banter between them, and the beautiful descriptions. Some of my favorites:

Vibrant shades of red and gold surrounded them, creating a quiet, merry warmth and comfort that seeped into their bones, making them languid and smug, like plump, pampered housecats, at ease on the richly upholstered armchairs that sat in the center of the inviting room.

Their glasses touched with a merry clink. The wine was a fine old vintage with fragrant and somewhat mysterious notes of spice and pine and ancient magic, and went down the throat like dark fire, leaving their tongues and stomachs burning in the afterglow. And I love the sex scene and the way you lead up to it--there's a real sense of ( ... )

Thank you for the lovely comment. I'm glad you found the creepiness fitting and thought it worked with the art. It's such a beautiful picture--I hope shira_a will forgive me for slanting toward the dark. :)
