Notes/comments: I'd like to thank everybody who encouraged me to keep on drawing, especially myprettycabinet and epithalamium. While drawing I listened to jazz and discovered a sax solo called "Jazz Wolf" by North Sound which suits the picture well.

Lily, I love your dress, it is fantastic!

Like the others are saying, I love the composition of this! The colors are smoky enough to feel like you're in the room with them, and even though I haven't heard the song (... yet... (/off to youtube)) I can imagine what it would be like to be in there with all the other people and a saxaphone and drums in the background~

It took me awhile to find the song but I did and it was absolutely lovely to listen to and just relax with it in the background. Can't wait to see what kind of story comes along with this later!

I LOVE IT this is amazing! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Sirius is so SEXY...Oh man, there's so much amazingness, I have to make a list:

1. The LIGHTING is incredibly gorgeous, and spot on (THE PEOPLE!!). Particularly in the first panel *___*)
2. the second panel lighting is perfect too, and matches the lighting of the stage, so I really feel like I'm turn 180 degrees
3. I love Remus' outfit and how tall and lanky he is
4. Sirius' expression and how enraptured he looks
5. Sleazy-in-a-cute-way James lovin' on Lily
6. Lily's GORGEOUS

etc. etc. etc. I canNOT fucking wait to read this fic.

OMG! The colors in this are just... perfect. Siriusly. Perfect. You really capture that feeling of being in a dark bar or jazz club very well. And it's not just the typical darkness, but it has a fantastic, slightly intoxicated feel to it - as if the world softened and shrunk down to just that moment and that stage. How lovely!

I also really love the expressions of the group in the second panel. Lily seems so much more experienced. I love how she's looking off out of the frame, possibly watching a potential fight or altercation. She looks so beautiful and calm, but also slightly wary. (As many women are in bars and clubs. I work at one. I know.) And it's cool how James is mostly watching Lily, for she is his entire world. One almost gets the sense that he is there just for her. But Sirius! Oh, lovely, Muggle-loving Sirius is so entranced by what is going on onstage. That seems so right that he's almost the only one fully engaged in the performance. I like that it speaks well for a story. And, finally, darling Remus, who, like Lily, ( ... )

Uhm.. well I actually intended him to be Peter and Remus as the sax player. But I think the picture can be interpreted in different ways. :)

Wow, the colours are just amazing! It is all so hazy and smoky and really evokes the atmosphere of a club. The lighting in the first panel is amazing and the band on stage look great. Remus with his Sax, erm yer there should be more Sax!Remus around ahem, then Sirius' expression he looks like a lightning bolt just struck him as he looks at Remus. Love how James and Lily are obviously together and Peter is less defined than everyone else.
