Actually, if you ever have time to scan a page of Zyword, that would be rad...

She hardly ever lets me pick her up out of her cage so i just let her come out on her own will but the other day i was trying to grab her out and she was letting out this almost sad whimpering sound everytime i would try to grab her or pick her up.

What is up with Manga Claus? anonymous October 11 2007, 23:35:28 UTC
Seemingly no one in the Direct Market has heard of it, yet it seemed to do well in the bookstore. My nephew has a copy. What's the story on that?

In short, the point of this manga is not to turn on the reader (unless you are a complete freak).

Poor, sweet, innocent Jason. I've got some friends I need to introduce to you.

I just realized that Jason meant "turn on the reader in a sexual sense". I kept reading it in the sense of "turn on the reader & savage him horribly". I guess I still have "Die, Anime Girl" on the brain...

"Zyword is sort of like if two volumes of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle were stranded on an island and forced to incestuously breed with themselves for generations"

That is the best sentence I've read all day. ^^

Especially considering that Tsubasa is already pretty incestuous in its own right. That's not a family tree, it's a pole.

They've actually turned Eiken into an anime. I've only seen a few animated GIFs of it. They're...impressive.

That Peter Jackson comment made me think of a manga I recently came across, Octopus Girl. It's a horror manga, but...not. It really is the manga equivalent of Jackson's early movies, or Evil Dead 2, mixing over-the-top gore with wacky comedy. It's like a cross between Maruo Suehiro and Furuya Usamaru. It is goddamn mind-altering.

I actually enjoy a lot of Media Blasters titles... APOCALYPSE ZERO, BARON GONG BATTLE and PILGRIM JAGER were all good series in their own way, tragically canceled in midstream. And now they're doing FUJOSHI RUMI! Whoo hoo!
