Interesting, though the ending left me wanting more. I guess imparting further understanding to the reader would undermine the final line, though.

This is a classy little story; gives me flashbacks to all those college linguistics courses I'm not using (let's just say I recognized the reference in the title without the protagonist telling me about it.) A very nice work, in a hope-for-humanity sort of way.

Definitely left me wanting more; I'd love to see more of this world you've set up. The aliens seem to have a neat design and we still get a good idea of the characters with minimal exposition. Very nice story that I'd love to read more of.
