In my defence I was stuck at work and it was dead when I read that...so it wasn't like I could do anything else. At least I got paid for my time.

Oh, that's the disgusting part that people DID notice, they noticed back in 2001 when she got blacklisted from FF.net. But she had so many fans and she played the role of the 'innocent victim' to a tee and her 'lawyer' friend has spent the past 5 years hushing anybody who even mentioned the mess and trying to silence them threats of lawsuits.

Her threats were so effective that the Wikipedia entry on Cassandra Claire was nuked because they wanted to do a documentary on the scandal. However two other Wikis (fandomwank and fanhistory) do have their articles up despite the attempts to get them taken down.

As for her publishers? I have no doubt that SOMEBODY has informed them about this, however unless the victim authors are the ones bringing the charges I doubt they will pay attention to it. But they better pray that her new novels are original or else they will have a devil of a time fending off the horde.
