Christmas Love

Dec 20, 2010 10:45

It's that time of the year again and I want to do something nice for people; naturally I'm short of money but have some time on my hands.  Thus I propose a love post.

Here's the deal: If your friend doesn’t have a thread created for them then leave a comment with their name as the title and say what you love about them. If there is a thread for ( Read more... )

Going online and finding a new post from theferrett can make my day. while not every post speaks to me, for example I am not a writer, many do. I like hearing how others think and theferrett has some great ideas rambling around. It is great how his posts generate diverse comments.
I wish theferrett and his a very rewarding and enjoyable holiday season.

I adore Ferrett. He's a total sweetheart, a great friend, and incredibly literate and insightful. Seeing his name on my f-list never fails to make me smile... and if I'm lucky enough to get an email from him? GIDDY!

TheFerrett.

An awesome writer with a heart of motherfucking gold and reminds me that not all Christians are the crazy nutbags that get all the press coverage.

Some of them, like TheFerrett, are actually Christian and make the world a better place to live in.

I'll say what I always say, because it remains true, year after year. I fell in love with him almost the moment we met and going on three years later that hasn't changed a bit. No matter what he's got going on in his life, Ferrett always has time to make sure those he loves know he loves him. He's a fantastic writer, a great ear to bend when someone has a problem, a dedicated husband and I am so lucky and grateful to have a piece of his heart.

I'll always be thankful that he published my first Magic article on Star City Games, poor as it was.

I eagerly read every post he makes on LJ - every one either makes me laugh, think, or reminisce. His essays are so filled with imagery, that even though we have never met, I consider him and Gini friends of the highest degree. I look forward to the day I get to watch people play Rock Band and visit the VTR with these two amazing people. (And yes, I feel much the same about Gini, through both her and Ferret's writings.) He is an amazing man that I cannot wait to cement our friendship by meeting and talking for hours.

I am incredibly thankful for theferrett and his willingness to take a spot in my life, mind, and heart. I started reading his blog in 2004, and when we developed a more personal relationship, I became close with one of my intellectual heroes. I wasn't disappointed with the man behind the persona :).

I have been fortunate enough to spend time with him and his lovely wife in meatspace, and I have learned that he is as wise and kind as his entries would suggest. Whether he would admit it or not, he's also charming and sexy as hell. I still get a bit weak in the knees when I read his entries and e-mails.

If you haven't discovered his writing yet, I suggest you pop on over.

I agree completely. Plus, he gives me free bacon.

Okay, only the first sentence is true.

He always writes about such interesting things, things I would never have thought about before. Many a time I've then brought up the topic with my own friends and started a lively discussion. He seems so warm and caring and awesome :)
