Love Post

Jul 06, 2010 10:05

So, I want to do something nice for people and I'm short of money but have some time on my hands.  Thus I propose a love post.

Here's the deal: If your friend doesn’t have a thread created for them then leave a comment with their name as the title and say what you love about them. If there is a thread for somebody then reply to the original comment ( Read more... )

audience participation, love post, sharing the love

Because he's forever interesting, which is a gift.

He's smart, witty, geeky, and interesting. I love chatting with him and seeing his view of the world. I love that he's not afraid to speak his mind and does so with much consideration of others.

I look forward to seeing his words, day after day. He's insightful, geeky, interesting, fun, funny, and damned talented. His opinions are well articulated, and he's honest in a way that few can manage. He's another part of what makes LJ awesome, for certain!

I loved him before we were lovers, back when the emails flew furiously and intensely, as we poked at each other and ourselves and tried to figure out if and how our pieces fit together.

And once they did, I realized, tenfold, how sweet and thoughtful and loving and amazing he continues to be. What we're building together amazes and astounds me all over again, nearly every day.

(And the kisses! Oh what amazing kisses. That first kiss was worth all the waiting, and then some. ;) )

Despite the fact that he shows it in a million ways in his writing, people still do not realize how sensitive and compassionate Ferrett is. I consider him a friend, and I'm forever grateful to know what a good friend he is.

theferrett's writings make me think and make me laugh, sometimes but not always concurrently.

theferrett in person is warm and friendly and damn good company, even when it's only for ten minutes at a time.

There are so many things about Ferrett that amaze and astound me, every day. He writes like a madman, intelligent and cutting and insightful and witty, and he's got a weirdly appealing, playful sense of humor. Intensity, focus, and determination, he's got loads of, and he's fiercely loyal and honest to a fault. He's very sweet, and a hopeless romantic at times, and unbelievably adorable. He's a great friend, and a great lover, and I'm very grateful to be a part of his life.

I've never met Ferrett, but I have a little bit of a crush on him. He's smart, funny, charmingly honest and self-deprecating, and a lot of people care about him (always a good sign). His writings are interesting, informative, very accessible and sometimes quite profound. On top of which, I use him as a counter-example whenever the media here in the UK are telling us that all Americans are crazies.

Ferrett is one of the few people on the planet that openly displays every portion of himself without shame. While he might not tell the whole story, he's telling it just the same. He's never failed to keep me entertained, but has also provoked deep emotion. These are the gifts and he uses them well.
