Love for Christmas

Dec 21, 2009 09:02

So, I want to do something nice for people and I'm short of money but have some time on my hands.  Thus I propose a love post.

Here's the deal: You post a comment with somebody's name in it if they don't already have a thread started. Then you reply to that comment with something you love about them. Then scroll through the comments to see if you ( Read more... )

Where do I start? This man has been with me through thick and thin. Always there. Even when I think he isn't. I will be in the pits of despair and then he will pop in when I think he is long gone and drag me out by my hair. Sometimes kicking and screaming. Mostly just his plain MO - rescusing a damsel in distress, complete with a helicopter ready and I have NO DOUBT of that, sometimes with a simply laugh, sometimes a kick in the shins, sometimes a reminder that I am really a girl at heart, sometimes with a simple reminder of something lost that I need to find again, and most of the time just simply being my friend. I just can't say how much he means to me in words. He is simply part of my life now. Part that will always be there. LJ or not. I'm certainly glad that LJ brought him to me, but he a rock that is planted in my garden. And he isn't moving. I know where he is and I've painted his face on that rock.

How can I reply to something like that.
I'm alone on what should be a family night, slightly down, and you've placed a smile on my face.
May it be better, much better, for the both of us next year.
And if Mark and the dogs don't get too jealous, know that there's one more out there in the world that loves you as well.

There is plenty of room at this inn. Jealousy is immature emotion and we wouldn't be together if either of us held any. The dogs on the other had... they are not quite so evolved. ;) The corgis, yes, they love everybody. But the heelers ACT like they will shred you, but the second you walk toward them, they run and hide under the bushes. (but don't tell nobody), their bark scares the crazies away)

And I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to tell you how much you mean to me.
