I've known Pete for quite some time here. Really, I can't remember not knowing Pete. There are only a few people on LJ that I feel that I truely know deep down. Pete is definitely one of those souls. I know that I could sit and talk with him for hours and they would just disappear as time flew by. I have really good friends, even best friends, outside of LJ, that I talk with as do most people. But rarely do I run across instant connections with people that I've never seen that I would consider to be one of my best friends. Pete is one of those. A best friend.
What makes a person, seen or unseen a best friend? Well, trust obviously, check. Being there for the other during the ups and downs of life, check. Being able to make each laugh like crazy, check. But most of all, knowing when to be there, when words are needed and when they are not. That is why. That is Pete. And that is why.
Now he's got me all girly again, damn him.
