We went on a bike ride Saturday. S complained that she wanted a bike like mine - I have a very lightweight road bike that's over 15 years old, she has a more sturdy, more modern bike. She only complained because I had sped ahead of her and Bones, mostly because she's really hard to ride behind. Bones pointed out how hard a time I had on varied riding surfaces as opposed to S. (What it really comes down to is she doesn't want to work at riding.)
Sunday we went on a shorter ride. I was up ahead and I missed a turn, and was in too high a gear to easily stop and start again. She saw me stopped and said, "See? You should have a bike like mine!"
Not..really worth explaining. I just said, "I'm good with mine, thanks!" and didn't get into it. I did ask Bones later if he thought we should let her try mine out and he rolled his eyes and said, "No, she'd hate your bike. It's not nearly as easy to ride as hers is."
