I had been happy as a knight of the Summer.  I was in love and in favor with my Queen, and she shone brighter than any sun.  I would have done anything for her, and that was what she asked of me.  Everything.  My quest to prove my love, an exchange for peace.  She traded me to the Unseelie Court, to serve their Queen, to be their knight.

To begin with, my original mother certainly had nothing to do with it, and no human child was exiled to the demon realm in my place. Youkai are governed by fewer rules than it seems most fairies who find their way here are.
