Delectable chapter.

But I'm still worried about Spike...

Thanks!

But I'm still worried about Spike...

My attempt to distract you with babies and pancakes was unsuccessful?

I don't think anything can distract us from Spike-worry at this point...

I couldn't imagine I may enjoy Spike-less chapter so much. So many nuances and sharp observations!

"Kinda weird, huh. Saying 'Willow and Tara' again."

This line broke me into tears.

Thanks so very, very much for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the bits with Tara; this fic being rather angsty in general, it felt good to put in a happier scene.

(Sorry I'm so ridiculously late in responding to your comment!)

You almost have me feeling sorry for Buffy. It is sad to say, but I think she might be my least favorite Buffy regular cast member, she just got kind of annoying. But, I can almost feel for her here, all guilty and not knowing how to make amends and frustrated at her failed attempts.

And poor Xander, he is so heading for a nervous breakdown. And then Oz, oh, Oz. We are going to follow them out, aren't we?

I love Willow as well, she makes such a great mom.

So love this world...

I find Buffy kind of annoying myself at times, and writing her POV is a good antidote to that. I'm glad it worked for you as well!

Actually, no. But we'll eventually catch up with them later in the day! (Did you see that I've posted chapter 10 now?)

Well, like some other people have said, Buffy was never really one of my favorite characters, but you make her so much better. (You tend to make all of my not-so-favorite characters better. I'm even starting to like Kennedy, and I never liked her. Anyway...) The tension between Buffy and Xander... it makes me feel so bad for her, and yet I completely understand Xander's anger at the same time. Also, the apology-pancakes thing was very much reminiscent of Willow and her apology-cookies ("Eat a cookie - ease my pain?") from Something Blue.

I'd been wondering how Willow and the baby were doing, so it's nice to see them again. And saying Willow and Tara again does take some getting used to. Love how the three of them speak Portuguese in the house. It's just one more thing that adds to the whole separated Scooby gang feeling.

It was kind of strange how not strange it was to watch Willow breastfeeding her daughter. Does this make us grownups now? Buffy wondered. That line resonated really strongly with me, because I've been having a lot ( ... )

I was specifically thinking of that when I wrote this chapter. *g* I figure that Willow's way of apologizing could very well have rubbed off on Buffy!
