Fic: Seeing Is His Superpower (Spike/Xander)

Hello, world! Although I'm not really active in fandom these days, I have recently been quietly working on a short Spike/Xander story. My stories tend to sprawl, and at this point in my life I just don't have time for sprawling, so I challenged myself to write something self-contained and complete. And now it's finished and I get to post it. ( Read more... )

Aaaahh! That was an awesome fic. I enjoyed reading it. *grin* about Xander's question if ghost smoke can cause ghost cancer for him. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent.

Thanks! What I was really interested in was exploring the ramifications of the problems, rather than overcoming them. What would it be like to be invisible & intangible to everyone but one person? *shivers*

I really enjoyed this! I loved the characterizations, the slow build to it, the way you got all the voices right. I especially enjoyed your Xander.

That was super. Lovely slow burn relationship building, great friendship from the gang and no easy answers at the end. Just lovely.

Loved Dawn's husband to be being held hostage by the demon possessed floor lamp - great surreal touch! *g*

Glad you liked the story, and particularly the floor lamp! Where that came from was me typing a week after he'd been held hostage for a week by a demon-possessed and then pausing, and thinking "Okay, I need to end that sentence with something really unexpected..."

I'm picturing a very long, prehensile power cord. :-)

(One of the great things about writing in the Buffyverse is you can throw lines like that in there, and it's totally in the spirit of canon!)
