I haven't posted in forever here, but recently a couple things happened.
First, I have a spiffy new layout, courtesy of side_of_zen. It's Abby Wambach, from the US Women's National Soccer Team. And it's very cool. *hugs layout*
Second, I was talking with another friend, akselav, and telling her that I hadn't written in forever and needed someone to actually give me ( Read more... )

Love the fantasy sequence, really. And you already know my feelings about the framing narration.

Oh, and the rhythm is very solid. And the bit about the IQ of the customers made me chuckle.

Thanks! I know, we talked about the framing, but it was kind of necessary for this one. Hopefully I'll get back to work on the REAL story soon!

Ooooh very nice :)

Watch my journal over the next couple of days. I'm going to set up a writing challenge that can be any fandom or original.

New challenges? Cool. I'm looking for short things that can get me back in the writing habit. I don't do short well, but I haven't been able to finish things, so... this might help.

Yay for Finished, eh?

Yayness! Well done. I gave you most of my comments over AIM, but I'll recap here:

I like the narration. The tie in from "ordinary to extraordinary" is subtle, but it works :) The overall sound of the story is very sad, but hey, that's life sometimes. It's also very short, but she's a busy girl and doesn't have time for that kind of stuff. The press of the almighty dollar destroys dreams once again :P

I'll try to come up with another challenge soon for you, hopefully it'll be as good for you as this one!
