Poll Help Me Choose My Next Book

Feel free to suggest another book in the comments and/or explain and argue for your choice! No spoilers, please, but additional consideration is given to books that have compelling arguments why I need to own that book right this minute.

I clicked "another book" just so I could see the poll results.

You can't see the results without filling out the poll? I can see the results, and I didn't fill out the poll...

I can, but I have to click BUTTONS. Like, every time I refresh the page. Now I can just refresh and see the results without any of that tedious additional button clicking.

...GOD I AM THE LAZIEST.

I really enjoyed Discount Armageddon by Seanan McGuire and it seems like it might be up your alley. Although it is very light.

I'm halfway through Beauty Queens and I feel like buying extra copies and mailing it to people. Especially teenage girls. It's that good.

(I voted with my RP account oops.)

Amazing, I hope you like it!! Basically the author said it's like the inverse of Lord of the Flies -- if you don't know the premise, a bunch of girls who are on their way to a beauty pageant are in a plane crash and become stranded on a desert island.

But the inversion comes in because, unlike the boys where society breaks down and they turn into savages, the girls realize that without society there, they're kind of free from a lot of its bullshit, and that's where it all gets interesting.

A friend of mine was RPing a character from it and raved about the book, so I had to add it to my Must Get list.

This is a long-winded pimp for it and an additional "I hope you like it, zomg." ♥

I wanted to suggest Black Ships by Jo Graham.

It's a neat re-imagining of the fall of Wilusia (Troy) and there are other historical occurrences that weave in and out of the story. It and the next two in the series have become some of my favorite books to read.

I've never heard of these books but I'm all for uploading favourite fanfictions to my kindle! I just got mine this week and I've stocked up on free downloads like the copywrite-free ones and fanfics in pdf or doc format!
