Love Me or Hate Me, But Spare Me Your Indifference

I apologize for the overuse of the word "amazing." Also, HOLY FUCK DID THIS GET LONG.

First of all, many thanks go out to hazliya and elenuial for writing yet another amazing game and for casting me in a role that I adored. While BoD is not my favorite LARP of theirs (Leash was too awesome for words, Martha Stewart had perhaps the most quotable lines, and ( Read more... )

After a few moment's hemming and hawing (and yes, truth be told, a quick glance at Phil), Moira waves back.

Then drops her hand, straightens her shoulders, tilts her chin, and walks towards Nellie.

Are you afraid yet, Nellie? Should you be?

"About that meat thing..." Pause. "It won't happen again." That's clearly the closest that Nellie's ever going to get to an apology. Moira turns to go, but at the last second stops and turns back around. "Hey, you know that painting you did that time? In class? That was actually really good. I don't know much about art, but I know talent. You've got some. I was impressed."

Pulling his glasses down to half-mast, Phil glances back and forth between Neliwhip and Moirabel. He takes a few deliberate steps away, obviously out of ear shot, and turns back. Angling his head down, he watches the pair talk over the tops of his shades. There's a subtle smile on his face, not his typical cock-eyed grin.

Waiting till the conversation ceases, Filivyn saunters up, offering his date his arm, before walking off with Moirabel.

Pulling his glasses off... "Don't know exactly what you said... but thank you." Filivyn squeezes Moira's arm as he thanks her. Shades returned to the tip of his nose, still looking over them into Moira's eyes. "If it's not too much of an imposition, you wouldn't happen to have an evening free sometime before our little double date. Just thought it might be nice to have a more... private affair."

Sliding his glass back fully onto his face, he grins, "Who knows, I might even leave these ridiculous glasses at home in that case."

I think one of my favorite moments of the evening:

Iona: Moirabel? Are you okay?
Moira: *forcing a smile* Oh, yeah. Fine. Everything's great.
Iona: .... Look. Please don't lie to me. If you don't want to tell me, that's fine, just say so. But don't lie to me. *leans over and kisses top of head before walking out*

And, after wrap:
You: Funny, you told Moira not to lie to you but-
Me: Iona never lied, not once she got to know Moira sort of. She just said "I'm sorry, I can't tell you". Same with the Twins.

That was an amazing moment. I don't remember--did you turn away before Moira's face crumpled, or after?

Either way, A+

The mask had cracked when Iona turned away, but hadn't actually crumbled yet. Iona didn't want to take away Moira's dignity. She'd lost enough.

Perhaps intentionally, and certainly fittingly, you have morethings5 and I reversed through most of this thing. You told him about your Heart's Desire, and he told me. He was REALLY Mac and the prom king, and I was REALLY Mal.

Don't worry, this happens to us all the time :)

Oops! Apparently, I have been VERY confused about whose LJ is whose! I'm sorry!

*scurries to change*

...This does take some of the wind out of my smug, "I can tell the twins apart" sails.

Great write-up! But I am still a bit unhappy at the way Drys took the truth about the twins. I mean, she should have totally been a lot bitchier, but damn if she wanted to ruin the prom and sulk in a corner the rest of the night!

That baby was going to die of AIDS anyway! I gave it the best mercy that House Destruction could give!

I think you mean zapf as the hottest teacher ever.

I continue enjoying reading people's game stories. ^_^

Yeah, can't expect house desire to understand the hard choices in life that house destruction has to face... oh who am I kidding, I am just glad I wasn't the one who killed the baby! :-)
