Trying to mine the creative forces of my friend's list...

For my publication design class, we need to design a 16-page book (including front and back covers). And it needs to take a total of 3 weeks to design. And my school just lost its stock images account with Getty, and I'm a terrible photographer. Do you guys have any advice for brainstorming? Or maybe ideas? So it has to be photos? or drawings/illustrations by you? Not being completely sure I'll tell you my first thoughts, stream of conscious (a scary place, I know). What about a "......For Dummies" book. Even if it's illustration or design for dummies. Or maybe the evolution of drawing but something really lighthearted that includes hieroglyphics, kid like drawings with big headed people with arms and legs sticking out of the head, a stick figure doodle, a rough nude stick figure, maybe a positive/negative photo with some drawing on it and then a really lush illustration. The front cover could be stick figures/kid like/black and white, the back cover really lush and detailed and color. Again, stream of conscious but that's what I got after one cup of coffee and it's barely 9AM on a Friday.
