Bush has just appointed a highly criticized, anti-contraception person to be the new cheif of family-planning programs at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Wow. Just wow. I bet they never asked us women, who actually need and use birthcontrol, about how it makes us feel. I bet 99% of the responses sure as hell wouldn't be "well gee golly mr Bush, it makes us feel insulted and degraded", that's for sure.

I fear for the United States...
(where, apparently, it's already notoriously difficult to get the morning-after pill as it is.)

Yeah, it scares me, too... Crazy things like this are part of why I've been trying to get more involved in politics lately (too bad I'm not old enough to vote yet).
