30 More...

Just 30 (maybe 40) more pounds to lose until I can work up the nerve and the energy to try Aikido again. Last time I did it I was about 280 and it was WAY impossible. I couldn't keep up and was terrified I was going to roll on my head and break my neck. In 30 more pounds I'll be 200. In 40 more pounds, I'll be 190, my lowest ever ( Read more... )

You might be surprised that you can try aikido again sooner then your anticipated weight. You are probably in better shape now then you've been in a while! :) This might sound silly, but maybe you can try the kickboxing tapes to 'test' out where you are progress wise! :) I know it's not the same, but it might be a good thing to try? :)

Yeah, I do try Tae Bo, and I still suck at it. The problem is my stomach muscles. I need to concentrate more on those. I know I'll be in a beginner class, but I want to make sure I can do the beginner warmups. So, I am starting those :p

Nah, it will be worked out when I can get through the 6 week beginner course, and I can get through the rolls without a broken neck :) If and when I do, I'll post pictures. :)

I am planning on joining a gym and also to get into some kind of martial arts training. I use to do Tae Kwon Do a long time ago. Not sure what I wanna do now.
