After all, what was the point in holding a position of power without corrupting the next generation at least a little? Ahh! The Marauder in him shines through!
I was jubilant and giddy. I had somehow forgotten the fact that this was Lily’s son. Lily, the exceptional Muggleborn witch to whom Charms were as easy and natural as drawing breath I love seeing giddy!Remus! We don't get to see him very often!
My voice was faint, and full of pain. “I - I did, as a matter of fact. We were friends at Hogwarts.” I swallowed hard. I wanted out of this, now. You always change the POV so perfectly!
Loved this! Thank you, just want I needed after that slow and gentle torture you put me through =P!
I do like showing Remus' moments of wickedness, as with the Boggart. ;)
No, we don't, and though canon for this scene doesn't emphasise him as being so, he's a fairly reserved person. A thirteen year old with Harry's past being able to produce a Patronus, however weak after only three attempts would push all his 'teacher' buttons. He'd be dead chuffed, even if the student wasn't Harry.
Thank you. All these discussions of James and Lily and Sirius would be incredibly painful for Remus. Though it's understated, JKR does subtly have Remus react to these conversations as though they wound him.
Oh my dear. You've inspired me to pick up PoA again. It's been years! I can't wax on about how dead on your Remus PoV is every time, but it's true. It's so accurate and exactly what I'd expect from Remus. I'm in awe, and can't wait until he and Sirius meet again!
“Ten point from Ravenclaw, Boot. And ten points from Ravenclaw for you, too, Goldstein,” I drawled, as the students hastily attempted to straighten their clothing. If their faces were glowing any brighter, I wouldn’t have needed the Lumos spell at all. As they slunk past me out of the broom cupboard, I couldn’t resist murmuring quietly, “Try behind the tapestry of Maud the Maleficent on the Fifth Floor next time. Much more discreet.” Their blank, stunned looks were priceless, and I repressed a very silly urge to giggle. After all, what was the point in holding a position of power without corrupting the next generation at least a little?
Ah yes, there's the Mauderer we all know is hiding in there:P
Yet another exceptional take on events from Remus's POV.
After all, what was the point in holding a position of power without corrupting the next generation at least a little? hee! that's my remus. i love when we see little mischevious glimpses from him. i've always seen him as the most playful of the marauders. he's not mean, more like a little imp. *fangirls remus*
love the fact that you have remus realising that harry is james and *lily's* son. too many people in canon see harry as a mini-james but thankfully, remus never has. i've missed this fic, glad you found back-ups.
Remus does have that mischief, but it never comes across as malicious, which James' and Sirius' and Peter's does (Ch28, OotP).
Remus is one of the few people in canon who has always seen Harry as a) different to his father and b) a person in his own right. Even Dumbledore failed momentously on the last one.

And, as always, I love the Harry and Remus interactions as viewed from Remus' POV.
