Snow starting to fall at about 12:30pm, so its been going for about an hour. Nothing real big so far but late evening and overnight is gonna be pretty crazy I guess.
I'd hate to lose power as we have a well: no power means no running water. And I worry about the pipes without heat.
We have a gas range, so canned foods are no problem to heat and eat. Bottled water can be used for cooking. Buckets in the bathrooms carry 5 gallons of water for flushing, once or so.
I often worry about losing power, mainly because of the reptiles and the fact they need to stay warm. Luckily, I live close to the hospital and Food Lion and we rarely lose power here.
Yesterday, we got about 3 inches. Last night it turned to rain and made a mushy mess and today, we are suppose to get freezing rain that will turn back into snow. My main worry is the mushy mess freezing today. Rodney's balance isn't the best due to his brain injury, thus him and ice don't mix...:(
