One of my dogs is at the point where she can't eat hard foods anymore. My mom has to hand feed her softer things with a spoon. She's lost a lot of weight. I know it's all because of her age though. She's 16 years old already! s l

Are the cubes bigger than the kibble? It could just be easier for her to break down because it's larger.

Poor Cookie only just turned 12. D:

The ice cubes are alot bigger than the kibble peices but she will eat the dry food if mixed in with wet food-its just we can't always afford to get a ton of it and large portions of it gives her uh...bathroom issues.

She never did like dry food alot but she used to eventually eat it,now she waits even longer to the point of where its affecting her health I think. Her vet said to give her 20 percent more food a day but how can I if she won't eat the dry food anymore?

We just do not have that much meat to give her thats not intended for dogs to begin with. x_x

It is a bit pricey, yeah, the wet food. I'm sure if you shop around you could find some decent prices somewhere? My mom sometimes buys the wet food, sometimes she'll buy raw ground beef if there is a good price on it. The vet had said it was okay, so she deals with it.

I've been giving her a mix of various types of wet/moist food and some meat. Unfortunately she still isn't gaining any of the weight back though.

She just won't eat enough. ._.
