So this sociology class I'm in had a group "deconstruct" *Mulan* and *The Little Mermaid* in terms of gender roles... I'd always noticed how amazingly sexist Mulan is, but I believe that's done deliberately by Disney as a social commentary on ancient China and perhaps modern culture both here and abroad, as well as a nod to how far we've come in order to make a movie like that. From a sociologist's standpoint, I think *Mulan* is one of the best Disney movies out there. Still, not one of my faves.

Oh that was me again. Even when I deliberately don't sign in so that I can identify myself in the note, I forget to identify myself in the note. -AngelProjekt-

But my favorite disney character is a tossup between belle and Briar Rose/Aurora.

It's my favorite, as well, but I for Disney, I'd say Aladdin.

I'd have to say either "The Little Mermaid" or "The Great Mouse Detective".
Although I have a new fascination the live action "Sky High."
