I'm feeling unbearably overwhelmed and sad, this morning. Not because of personal issues - or not just personal issues - but because I've spent the last half hour or so reading posts on We Are the 99%. Page after page of the same story: Good, ordinary people who have done everything right, worked hard, and made sacrifices, only to find their lives

At some point, I want to go back for my PhD, but I'm afraid I can't afford it and still won't get a decent job, even if I can. All I want is to be an artist, to create, to make noise. But art doesn't pay, and you can't eat ideas.
I could have written that myself!

I think a lot of us could have written that. We're certainly not alone in our fear and need to pursue our dreams.
