To clarify the preceding entry, it must be observered, for those who were not already aware of this, that within my family, extending well to my second cousins and beyond, I stand very much solitary in my liberal politics. My sister and I are the "black sheep" b/c we're the only ones, out of the whole family, that don't attend church (specifically, the Church of Christ)...my step-family is full of ministers and stuff. Ugh. Anyways, my grandmother ran into my friend while she was making copies (of the church bulletin of course) and started talking to him. She ended up CRYING about how my sister and I are going to hell b/c we don't go to church, and my cousins are going to hell b/c they're Southern Baptists. This friend was also (nominally) Southern Baptist, so the whole thing was very strange.
