Donnie Darko is one of my favorite films of all time, but it did take a couple of viewings to get there. The more I watched it, the more I understood and the DVD commentary helped a lot. I seem to notice something new every time I see it. I think it's a profoundly special movie.

I watched the Directors cut which apparently explains a lot more than the original cut. It was kind of a trippy/creepy movie, but it really evoked a lot of emotion.

Hmm, very interesting concept. I felt really bad at the end though, but at the same time I think that's what made the movie so powerful.
