I love this! Mary was very much a one-off in series one, not really mentioned much after she died, so it's great to see stories that deal with Tosh missing elements of her. I love the metaphor; it doesn't quite say everything and really brings the story to life, especially this:

Thought about that ghost of hers hiding in her hair and clothes, crawling over her skin, pushing through her lips and past her teeth, swirling around her throat and wrists.

It sounds sort of different, but I like it. The ambiguous, vague tone seems to suit it. Well-woven.
